ClayTech Peripheral Turbine Pumps

by poolwarehouse on May 25, 2010

Peripheral turbine pumps are used extensively where clean water is required to be moved at good pressure. They consist of a turbine style brass impeller operating with close tolerances between two cast iron pump faces. Because of these close clearances, they develop good pressure, however are recommended only for clean water, free from any solids.

Peripheral turbine pumps are used for water transfer, booster pumps in a fire system, and cooling tower applications.

If these pumps are used for domestic water supply an adequate suction strainer is recommended to be used.
