This conventional pressure system has a 24 litre pressure tank and a pressure switch.
Inside the pressure tank is a water bladder and this fills up under pressure when the pump starts. The pressure switch stops the pump when the pressure in the bladder reaches a high set pressure.
When you open you house tap, the bladder will empty until the pressure reduces to the pressure low set point. The pump will then cut in and pump the water to your house. The benefit of this type of system is that you receive a certain amount of draw-off on the pressure tank before the pump starts. The larger the pressure tank the more the draw-off. This allows the toilet to fill or a glass of water to be poured without starting the pump.
These systems been used for over 50 years and have proven to be reliable and wasy to maintain
